Francisco "Frank" Jose Sandoval, Jr., 53, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. Frank was born on January 25, 1965 to Francisco J. and Dolores (Cortez) Sandoval in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1983. Frank married Tina L. Howell on November 25, 1988 in Spanaway, Washington. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. When Frank wasn't playing with them, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and music. And we would be remiss if we didn't mention his all time favorite treat. . .freezy pops.

Frank is survived by his wife, Tina of Rochelle; two children: Nicole "Nikki" Sandoval and Frank (Kristen) Sandoval III both of Newton, IA; his mother, Dolores Sandoval of Rochelle; brother, Arthur Sandoval of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Elaine Hendricks of Ottawa, IL and Maureen (Robert) Decker of Rochelle; two grandchildren: Drayden Pierson and Amara Sandoval and many nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6 ^th St., Rochelle. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 8 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle with Father Ruben Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
