Fred C. McCollom, age 60, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home. He was born on Nov. 3, 1954 in Charleston, MO, the son of Herbert C. and Lorraine (McKinney) McCollom. Fred worked as a punch press operator at Eaton and then at Reliable Machine Co. in Rockford for over 12 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Mike.

He is survived by his loving fiancee, Leigh Ann Furman of Davis Junction and her children Natosha and Shawn McCarty; one son, Jason McCollom of Sikeston, MO; one daughter, Randi McCollom of Davis Junction; five brothers, Tom (Sue) McCollom of Mendota, John (Deb) McCollom of Dixon, Jerry (Zell) McCollom of Rockford, David (Jodi) McCollom of Mountain Home, AR, and Jim (Barb) McCollom of Indiana; one sister, Millie (Frank) Mumford of Mount Morris; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Kyle, Colby, Hayley, and Hunter.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle with Rev. Lowell Woolbright officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:45 P.M. A memorial has been established. Online guest book at www.UngerHorner.com.
