Fred R. Erbes, 95, formerly of Monroe Center, IL, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Fred was born July 25, 1927 in Lee County, the son of Fred and Gail (Stevens) Erbes. On August 28, 1948, Fred married Martha L. Alverson in Bloomington, IL.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Lynn Nybo; his son, John (Julie) Erbes; granddaughter, Kate; great granddaughters: Aislinn and Greer; grandsons: Andrew, his fiancé, Christie, her daughters, Lydia and Marcella and Aaron (Elizabeth), great grandsons: Edison and Shepherd; sister-in-law, Luella; niece, Luann and nephews: Mark and Scott.

He was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Martha; brother, Robert and son-in-law, Gregg Nybo.

Cremation rites have been accorded by the Unger- Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. A memorial service will be held at Lindenwood Union Church, 101 Galena Street, Lindenwood, IL on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. Burial is at Lindenwood Cemetery in Lindenwood.
