Gary F. King, 79, of Rochelle, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010
at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born on Oct. 7, 1930 in DeKalb,
the son of Francis Richard and Alice Lucile (Etnyre) King. Gary married Helen E. Handlin
on March 22, 1950 in Belvidere, IL. Prior to retiring, he was a self employed farmer and worked for Burch and Carmichael. Gary served on the White Rock Cemetery Board and the Kings School Board.
Survivors include his wife Helen of Rochelle; sons: Graham (Shari) King of Madison, WI; Matthew (Jackie) King of Rochelle, IL; Brian (Mary) King of Bakersfield, CA; and Anthony
(Lynn) King of Hampshire, IL; daughter: Lisa King of Byron, IL; sister: Sandra Koebler of
Springfield, IL; 12 grandchildren: Peter (Jill) King, Benjamin King, Eric King, Andrew King,
Kellie (Matt) Morgan, Jessica (Robert) Morrison, Katie Kull, Nicole King, Courtney King,
Emily King, Molly King, and Cade King; 7 great grandchildren: Hailey, Austin, and Ethan
Morrison, Dillan Kull, Mia and Audrina King, and Jack Morgan.
Services will be held at Rochelle United Methodist Church, on Sat. Jan. 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM
with Rev. Brett Todd. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 PM.
The family requests memorials to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or to the Rochelle United Methodist Church. Burial at White Rock Cemetery in Kings.
