Gary A. Oleson 58, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020, due to a work related accident in Lindenwood, IL. Gary was born on September 9, 1961 to Gordon and Violet (Smith) Oleson in Rochelle, IL. Gary married the love of his life, Sally (Medine) Oleson, on June 23, 2001 in Esmond, IL. Gary was proceeded in death by his parents, Gordon and Violet Oleson and his two brothers: Dennis Smith Sr. and Larry Oleson.

Gary worked for Maplehurst Farms in Lindenwood, IL. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Gary was a diehard bears fan and always had a smile on his face. He was constantly doing something to make everyone laugh. No matter the season, he was always whistling Jingle Bells and telling everyone "everything is just hunky dory".

Gary is survived by his wife, Sally (Medine) Oleson, and his four children: Stephanie (Patrick Olson) Ramos, Sam (Brianna Stomberg) Oleson, Gordon (Chasity) Oleson, and Amy (Dan) "Prather" Askeland; along with his ten grandchildren: Sierra, Macey and Drake Ramos, Aaron and Addilynn Oleson, Trevor, Hayley and Elizabeth Oleson, Zack and Nate Askeland and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family memorial service at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 13, 2020. The service will be live streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page. A memorial will be established and may be made to the family. Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
