George H. Campuzano, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care in DeKalb, IL. George was born September 5, 1946 to Fidel and Necie (Moore) Campuzano in DeKalb. He married Rita R. Lawrence on June 13, 1967 in Sycamore, IL. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2010. He was also preceded by his parents, son-in-law, Miguel Lazaro; sister-in-law, Cindy Campuzano and brother-in-law, Howard Butts.

George is survived by two sons: Brett Campuzano and Craig Campuzano; two daughters: Jonie Johnson and Kami Lazaro all of DeKalb; two brothers: Jerry Campuzano of Rockford and Michael Campuzano of Sycamore; four sisters: Mary Butts, Martha McGlauflin, Christine Horn and Cindy McCall all of Sycamore; two uncles: Roger Moore of Orange County, CA and William Moore of Sycamore; and 9 grandchildren: Jonelle (Charles) Delano, Douglas Johnson, Corben Campuzano, Derek Bonney, Reann Campuzano, Miguel Lazoro Jr., Alonzo Lazaro, Elias Lazaro and Haeliana Lazaro; 2 great grandchildren: Emilee Mendez and Kaidence Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Avenue, Sycamore. The visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00, Wednesday prior to the service. Cremation rites are accorded by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Memorials to the family of George Campuzano.
