George Edward Walters ,80 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and businessman passed away peacefully Sunday December 23, 2007 at Rochelle Gardens Healthcare Center. George, a life long resident of Rochelle, Illinois was born August 10, 1927 as the youngest of five children. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, a Chicago Northwestern Railroad Agent and a Master Locksmith. For more than fifty years George served the community and made many friends as he helped people. In 2006, George was honored by the Associated Locksmiths of America as one of the founders of this now, international organization. He was a member of the Rochelle Masonic Horicon Lodge and Rockford Tebala Shrine.

George is survived by his wife Ala Marie, his sister Lola Kurth of Rockford, his son George (Silene) of Rochelle, daughter Sharie (Paul) Bowman of Auburn Washington and step children James (Janelle) Delhotal of Franklin Grove, Alan (Angie) Delhotal of Rock Falls and Dawn (Robert) Taylor of Dixon. His grandchildren Addison, Kelly and Zane will miss sitting on his lap and watching The Price is Right.

Funeral services will be held on Sat. Dec 29th 11:00 a.m at Unger-Horner Funeral Home with visitation Friday, Dec. 28th from 5 to 8 pm at Unger-Horner Funeral Home.
