Gerald W. Long, 75, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 in Rockford, Illinois. Jerry was born June 17, 1940 to William and Jean (Harris) Long in Harrison, Illinois. Jerry served with the United States Air Force for three years. He worked in quality engineering for Burgess-Norton Manufacturing in Geneva, Illinois for 27 years. He then bought and ran T.J. Lounge in Rochelle with his significant other, Beverly Grimes for over 12 years. Jerry loved playing golf, old cars and old guns. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Candy.

Jerrry is survived by Beverly A. Grimes of Ashton, his son, Todd Long of Rockton, IL; three step-sons: Joe Matchett of Oswego, IL, Les (Rene) Matchett of Tomahawk, WI and Travis (Katie) Grimes of Renton, WA; brother, Jay (Linda) Long of Arlington, TN; sister, Joy Lynn (Mike) McLean of Roscoe, IL; two step-granddaughters: Lindsay Matchett and Lauren Matchett; and nephews: Scott and Will Long of TN and niece, Sandy of WI.
