Virginia "Ginger" Kosobud, 95, of Rochelle, IL died November 2, 2015 at the Franklin Grove Nursing Home.
Ginger was born March 17,1920 in Fulton, NY to William Gomon and Violet Bartlett. She was married to the late Laddie Kosobud and was the mother of three sons: Kenneth, James and Richard. Ginger was employed for many years as an Emergency Room Technician at the Rochelle Hospital. She was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was very active in the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, James Kosobud.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth Kosobud of Goose Creek, SC and Richard (Connie) Kosobud of Sheridan, Illinois; and daughter-in-law, Hwcha (the late James) Kosobud of DeKalb, Illinois. She was the grandmother of ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Greg Hoffmann officiating. The visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 to 11:50 a.m. prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
