Alfred "Glenn" Ramsey, 68, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Glenn was born September 26, 1946 to Alex and Zella (Stafford) Ramsey in Russellville, Kentucky. He served our country as a Marine during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. Glenn worked in manufacturing as a metal fabricator over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond.
Glenn is survived by four brothers: James "Mick" (Shelley) Ramsey, Bob (Peggy) Ramsey, Earl Ramsey and Ray Ramsey; two sisters: Betty Cabrerra and Evelene (Ernest) Atkinson and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. The visitation will be held just prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at 12:30 P.M. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois.
