GLENN R. STOCKING, age 74, of Rochelle, died on Monday, August 27, 2007 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 4, 1933 in Rochelle, the son of Howard and Nellie (Boler) Stocking. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1951. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the US Army. Glenn's parents preceded him in death. He farmed and had been employed by MFCH Trucking. After being together for 25 years, he married Janet Strawbridge Hayes April 10, 2001.

Survivors include his wife: Janet of Rochelle, 3 daughters: LuAnn Ciacco of Rochelle, Janaan (Dick) Harms of Rochelle, and Suzanne (Greg) Lohman of Hillsdale, IL; a step-daughter:
Nancy (Philip) Holden of Ashton; and 4 step-sons: Philip (Karen) Hayes of Iola, WI, Thad Hayes of Rochelle, David (Cherie) Hayes of Steward, IL, and Matthew (Rebekah) Hayes of Steward; 2 brothers: Ronald (Joyce) Stocking of Oregon, IL and David (Kris) Stocking of Phoenix, AZ; 24 grandchildren.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 with Rev. Brett Todd at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 30th, at Unger-Horner from 4 to 8 PM Burial will be at Steward Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: a memorial has been established to Rochelle Masonic Temple and Rochelle Twp. Museum.
