Gregory P. Peters, 33 of Rochelle, passed away unexpectedly on Wed., Sept. 30, 2009 at his home. He was born on Oct. 24, 1975, in Lubbock, TX, the son of Leslie D. and Yvonne (Browning) Peters. Greg graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1993 and was baptized and confirmed at Rochelle United Methodist Church. He had worked for both SPS Caulking and HESS Caulking over the years and was a member of the Tuck Pointers Local Union #52.

Survivors include his parents: Ted and Yvonne Wilkinson of Rochelle; and Leslie Peters of Batavia; 2 daughters: Gracee K. Peters 11, and Sawyer B. McGee 6, and a son: Declan L. McGee 20 months, all of Rochelle; brother: Andrew R. Wilkinson and sister: Stephanie J. Wilkinson of Rochelle; Grandparents: Doris Lindaas of Rochelle; and Don and Peggy Peters formerly of Rochelle. Other survivors include several aunts, uncles and cousins. Greg enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also cherished his dog, Sue and loved the band Phish. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at 10 AM at Rochelle United Methodist Church with Rev. Brett Todd officiating. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Sunday, Oct. 4th from 2 to 6 PM. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been establish for his children.
