Rochelle

Gregory "Greg" Donald Stroh, 67, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born June 30, 1955, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Donald and Catherine (Anderson) Stroh. He married Vanessa Richardson on October 18, 1997.

Greg worked for Securitas Security Services. He also drove a semi truck for a number of years. He loved NASCAR, fishing, and motorcycle rides. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the Rochelle Moose. Greg most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife, kids and grandkids.

Greg is survived by his wife, Vanessa of Rochelle; five children, Katrina (Paul McLeod) Stroh of Dixon, Gerri (John) Hanson of Compton, Heather Contreras of Rochelle, Dennis (Calla) Stroh of Steward, and Carolee Wilson of Rochelle; twenty-two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six siblings, Brian (Betty) Stroh of Las Animas, CO, Bob (Debby) Richardson of Peosta, IA; Joe (Becky) Richardson of Estill Springs, TN; Tina (Gary) Tigges of Durango, IA, Kim (Steve) McKinzie of Springfield, TN, and Lisa (Richard Thormann) Weinberg of Epworth, IA; Nick Whyderet, who was like a son, of Rochelle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Stroh; and a sister, Pam McKeown.

A memorial celebration of Greg's life will be from 2-4 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. A memorial luncheon will follow at the Rochelle Moose. Please visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
