Harley R. Lawson 74 of Ashton, IL died Sat. Sept. 27, 2008 in Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born September 23, 1934 in Brownstown, IL the son of Daniel C. and Rula C. Arnold Lawson. He married Judith Rae Cook on April 29, 1965 in Sycamore, IL
He was preceded by his parents, 3 brothers Glenn, Ward and Gerald Lawson and 1 sister Joyce Woodruff.
Harley retired from N.I.U. as a forman in the Painting Department.
Surviving is his wife Judy and 1 son David (Candace Mullins) of Rochelle and 1 daughter Lea (Chuck Smith) Buss of Rochelle. 2 step-daughters Kelly (Gene) Kempson of Rochelle and Micki (Mike) Dettman of Sterling, IL.
1 brother Carl Lawson Jr. of Vandalia, IL and 1 sister Betty (Hubert) Williams of Brownstown, IL. 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday Oct. 4, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home with Chaplin Judy Williams. Visitation will be 2 to service time on Saturday.
