Harold "Jim" Holtman, 86 of Rochelle, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Rochelle Health Care Center. He was born on Oct. 20, 1924 in Kings, IL to Fred and Alice (Alberts) Holtman.
Harold married Loretta Baker on Feb. 2 1947 in New Milford, IL. He was a printer for 24 years for Rochelle Printing prior to retiring and had operated the Hub Lounge from 1978 - 1985. Jim served in the US Army during WWII. His memberships include Lindenwood Union Church, and he was a life member of VFW Post 3878. He coached and managed teams for Rochelle Little League and the American Legion League and was a avid White Sox and Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife: Loretta of Rochelle; son: Dennis (Ginger) Holtman of Rochelle;
daughter: Deborah (Rich) Wilkinson of Mt. Morris; 4 grandchildren: Richard (Kathi) Wilkinson of Oregon, Jason (Tammy) Wilkinson of Texas , Tye Thuestad of Rochelle
and Trent Thuestad of Chana; 4 great grandchildren: Brett, Kaylee, Katlynn, and Ethan.
Services at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM
with Rev. Dean Parker. Visitation at Unger-Horner on Wed. April 6th from 5 to 7 PM.
Burial at White Rock Cemetery in Kings, IL with military services by VFW Post 3878. A memorial has been established.
