Harry F. Gross, age 83, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Serenity Home in Oregon, IL. He was born on May 29, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the son of Harry Walter and Eleanor Marie Woehrle Gross. Harry married Lois Crowley on July 27, 1957 at St. James Catholic Church, Highwood, IL. Harry served in the Navy then worked as a truck driver before retiring. He was a Mason for over 62 years belonging to the Rockford, Bensenville and then Rochelle Lodges, and a member of the Eastern Star for 31 years. He enjoyed bicycling, model railroading, and was an avid traveler. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lois of Rochelle, 2 sons: Ken (Katie) Gross of West Chicago, IL; and Larry (Tracey) Gross of East Troy, WI; 2 grandchildren: Andy (fiancee Kaity Jaeck) Gross of New Berlin, WI, and Anita Gross of East Troy, WI; and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 4 - 8 PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with a Masonic service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rochelle, with Rev. Johnson Lopez officiating. Burial will be at the Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle.
