Harry A. Johnson, 94, passed away September 26, 2007 at his son's home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Johnson was born one of 5 children, to Alfred and Frances (Anderson) Johnson, in DeKalb, IL on March 24, 1913. He lived in Kansas City, MO with his family and worked as a salesman for Wurlitzer Company. Later he and his wife moved to Rochelle, IL where he was the Vice President of the First National Bank and Trust of Rochelle. Mr. Johnson spent the last few years in Kansas City at Brighton Gardens Retirement Village and was loved very much by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Vivian (Gould) Johnson and his son Thomas Gould Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Alexander and husband Tyler of Tomball, TX; daughter-in-law, Joleen Johnson of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Michelle VanStone, Tracy Johnson, Tim Johnson, Gretchen Adams, Hope Johnson and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 North 6th Street, Rochelle, IL.
Visitation is to be held from 10:00 A.M to Service time at 11:00 A.M. on monday the day of the service.
Burial will be at the Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
