Hazel M. Kime, 93 of Ashton, IL, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 4, 1918 in Chionia, MO, to Byrd E. and Daisy Jane (Rubel) Morgan. Hazel married Chandler S. Kime in Van Buren, MO on Dec.8, 1937. She was a member of the Ashton Methodist Church and was caretaker of the church for many years. She enjoyed furniture restoration, antique collecting, and gardening. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Chandler on March 6, 2001; 3 brothers: Lowell, Willis and Clyde Morgan; 3 sisters: Helen Burchard, Maude Davis and Carmen Larry; son-in-law: Ray Kramer and grandson: Scott Kramer.

Survivors include sons: Jack (Sally) Kime of Calhoun, GA and Mark (Dianna) Kime of Valparaiso, IN; daughter: Janet Kramer of Rochelle, brothers: Frank Morgan of Winnebago, IL,
Truman (Eurma Lou) Morgan of Fisk, MO and Byrd "Junior" Morgan of Steward, IL; sister
Freda (Don) Lund of Eagan, MN; 6 grandchildren: James Chandler (Melissa) Kime, Melissa Kime (Joe) Mobley, Bruce Robert Kramer, Matthew Chandler (Angie) Kime, Paul Douglas (Laura) Kime, and James Edward (Rebecca) Kime and 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Ashton United Methodist Church in Ashton, IL, on Wed. July 27, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Sang Hun Han. Visitation at the Ashton United Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 26th from 5 to 8 PM. Burial at Ashton Cemetery. Memorials to Ashton United Methodist Church.
