Helen "Jeannene" Bain Adams, 83, of Lindenwood, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023. She was born in Rockford, IL on September 23, 1939, the daughter of Eugene "Gene" and Lorraine (Poliska) Bain. She married Gerald "Jerry" Adams on June 18, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2003.

Jeannene loved nothing more than her family, church, and mowing her yard. Most important to her was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed their many sporting events throughout the years. Jeannene was a devoted member of the Lindenwood Union Church. She also liked tending to her flowers and garden. She was never one to miss her 3 o'clock coffee, loved her card games, and cooking/hosting family meals.

Jeannene is survived by her children, Craig (Judy) Adams of Cumming, GA, Jim (Valerie) Adams of Lakemont, GA, and Lorri (Dave) Mayer of Lindenwood, IL; grandchildren, Ally (Jeremy) Bagg, Dr. Jack (Hannah) Adams, Dr. Alexa Adams, Dani Adams, Stephanie Adams, and Amber (Matthew) Wittenauer; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Madeline, Lexi, Autumn, Bentley,  Chesney, and bonus grandchild, Sam Reints; step-brother Steve (Kathy) Austin; step-sister, Patt Austin; sisters-in-law, Audrey Daub and Margaret Adams; brothers-in-law, DeWayne Adams and Sam Gocken; special nephews, Steve Reints and Tim (Donica) Reints, in addition to numerous other nieces and nephews.

Jeannene is preceded in death by her parents; brother Jim Bain; sister Verla (Ward) Sterett; and step-sister, Regina Hale, Willie Reints and numerous other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Friday, August, 18, 2023, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle.

Funeral service will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Lindenwood Union Church,101 Galena Street, in Lindenwood with Pastor Hilary Van Utt officiating. Interment will follow in Lindenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeannene's memory may be directed to Lindenwood Union Church.
