Helen M. Weeks, age 86 of Rochelle, passed away on Thursday, Dec.21, 2006 at Franklin Grove Nursing Home. She was born on May 23, 1920 near Steward, IL the daughter of August F. And Florence M. (Southard) Henry. Helen married Charles A. Weeks on June 9, 1939 in Rochelle and he preceded her on Nov. 23, 2004.

She was employed by Rochelle Community Hospital for 25 years prior to retirement as the head of Medical Records and was past president of both the IL Medical Records Association and IL Business and Professional Women Association.

Survivors include 3 sons: Dr. Charles Thomas (Ellyn) Weeks of Pendleton, OR, John Leon (Petrene) Weeks of Luzerne, MI, and Dr. James Page (Nancy) Weeks of Naperville, IL; a sister Alice (Sam) Domurat of CA; and 7 grandchildren: Melissa Jeter, Christopher Weeks, Jennifer Wilkes, Jason Weeks, Michael Weeks, Laura Gatermann, and Erin Woodward; and 9 great grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Unger Horner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
