Ashton

Henry Ernest Jordal, 6, of Ashton IL passed away unexpectedly, Sunday June 11, 2023, at the Rochelle Community Hospital.  Henry was born Feb. 28, 2017, in Rockford, IL, the son of Ernest "Matthew" and Leah (Brown) Jordal.  Henry was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Edward (Eleanor) Brown, Earnest (Irene) Leslie, Barbara Byrd and Ernest Jordal; and special doggy: Teddy.

Henry loved so much and was loved dearly by all.  He was a bright light everywhere he went and knew how to make people laugh.  Henry was a proud kindergarten graduate of AFC Elementary School.  He was a wonderful brother to his twin sister, Ellie.  Henry was an active Cub Scout of Pack 301 and loved to swim.  He especially loved all things Disney and Peanuts and traveled to Disney World with his family in January.   He loved the holidays and would celebrate Christmas year round. Though his life was short, Henry touched many lives.  He will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts.

Henry is survived by his parents: Matthew and Leah Jordal of Ashton; twin sister, Ellie Faye; grandparents: Tom and Bonnie Brown of DeKalb, IL and Dave and Debra Jordal of Chana, IL; great grandparents: Elda Mae Jordal of Rochelle and Russ Byrd of Rochelle; aunts and uncles: Tommy (Maggie) Brown of Steward, IL, Michael Jordal of Rochelle and Megan Jordal of Chana; cousins: Marlie, Madelyn, Alainah and Braxton.

Memorial visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. -12:00 noon on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  Celebration of life service will follow the visitation at noon at the funeral home.  A memorial is to be established for Henry.  Please visit www.ungerhorner.com for online guest book and video tribute.
