Obituary
Henry H. Schabacker, age 100, after enjoying and celebrating his 100th birthday party on December 3, passed away wed. Dec. 13, 2006 at Rochelle Community Hospital. He was born in Germany on Dec. 5, 1906, the son of August and Elizabeth Mader Schabacker. He married Florence Viola Birkey on September 5, 1933, she preceded him in death on July 5, 2004. Member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, of Paynes Point. He is preceded by 3 brothers: Adam, and Fritz Schabacker and Carl Dilling; and 3 sisters: Elizabeth Kober, Caroline Eckhardt, and Martha Felgenhauer.
He is survived by 3 sons: William P. (Betty) of Chana
James (Beverly) Schabacker of Rochelle
Jerry (Audry) Schabacker of Ashton
9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
sister: Dina Gittleson of Rochelle
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Paynes Point with the Rev. Joan Adrian officiating.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5 - 8 PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.
Memorials may be made to the Church.
Burial at the Paynes Point Cemetery.
