Herlinda "Her" M. Sly, 62 of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at Franklin Grove
Nursing Home in Franklin Grove, IL. She was born on Sept. 14, 1949 in Kewanee, IL to
Victor and Natalie (Urquiza) Martinez. Herlinda married Richard Monaco who preceded in death on Jan. 11, 1993. On Sept. 23, 1995, she married Clyde E. Sly and he preceded her on Jan. 2, 2005. Also preceded by 2 brothers: Victor and Simon Martinez; and a sister: Rosemary Kay. " Her" was a former supervisor for Sinnissippi Center in Rochelle
Survivors include sister: Cindy Williams of Dixon, IL; long time close friend: Marge Cornejo of Dixon, IL; and 3 nephews: Aaron Williams of Chicago, Adrian Williams of Murietta, CA, and Tomas Brandon Mayberry Martinez of Texas.
Memorial services will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 1:30
PM. Cremation rites arranged by Unger-Horner and inurnment will be at Lawnridge Cemetery.
