Obituary
Hershel E. Caldwell, 74, of Rochelle, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Feb. 28, 1934 in Morehouse, MO, the son of Charles and Flora E. (Stevens) Caldwell. Hershel married Blanche M. Russell on Aug. 13, 1966 in Oregon, IL, and she preceded him on Dec. 9, 2000. Prior to retiring, he worked for Caron Int. in Rochelle.
Survivors: 3 stepsons: Gary Cagle of Rochelle, Leon Cagle of Stuart, FL, and Donald Cagle
of Albuguergue, NM; 2 stepdaughters: Patsy Burright of Rochelle and Polly (Sherman)
Countryman of Alamogordo, NM; brother: Carl (Clara) Caldwell of Kennett, MO; 20 grandchildren: including Clayton Burright, who Hershel and Blanche raised.
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jeff Aldridge. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner on Wed. July 9th, from 5 to 7PM. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
