Hienie J. Folkers, 84, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 in Rochelle. Hienie was born October 15, 1930 to Henry and Sophie (Petersen) Folkers in Buhl, Idaho. He married Kara Ann Olson on December 30, 1951. Hienie was an appliance service man and later bought and operated a Sears catalog store. He is preceded in death by his wife, his brother, Marvin, and sister, Leila Olsen.

Hienie is survived by his four children: Denise (Craig) Linebaugh of McHenry, IL, Gregory (Mary) Folkers of Stillman Valley, Raymond (Wendy) Folkers of Knoxville, Iowa, and Twilla Kruzic of Mystic, Iowa; his sister, Jane (Don) Rhode of Cambridge, Iowa, 8 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Rochelle United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Ragula officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 just prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Gilman Township Cemetery, Ashton, Iowa at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Albia United Methodist Church.
