Higinio Cabrera Pérez, of Rochelle, Illinois died in the evening of Monday,
May 2nd, 2011 at Rochelle Community Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in México City, México, January 2nd 1938, to Antonio Cabrera Hernández
and Concepción Pérez Ramírez. Higinio was a member of the distinguished
Knights of Columbus, served as a deacon of St. Patrick Parish, and a
supporter of the community.
Higinio will be remembered for his unselfish service to the community. Higinio
never hesitated to lean a helping hand to those in need. Higinio always found
time to help family and friends by taking them to the doctor's office, translating
for those who wouldn't speak English, or just simply taking them to the store for
grocery shopping. He will be missed by family and friends.
Higinio is survived by his wife Virgilia of Rochelle, his two daughters
Susan (Steve) Thompson and Elizabeth Perez of Rochelle, his six stepdaughters,
Andrea (Juan) Perez of Romeoville, Lazara Alcantara, Virginia Sanchez,
Irene (Antonio) Belmonte, Marisela (Ydelfonso) Garcia of Rochelle,
Otilia De La Torre of Aurora, his brother Lucio of Mexico City,
his sister Lourdes of Rochelle, nieces and nephews, grandchildren,
and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, May, 6th at St Patrick Catholic Church,
in Rochelle, IL. With visitation on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the
Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle, IL

Higinio Cabrera Peréz, de Rochelle, Illinois falleció en la tarde del
Lunes, 2 de Mayo en el Rochelle Community Hospital después de una enfermedad repentina.
Nacido en México, D.F. el 2 de Enero de 1938. Hijo de Antonio Cabrera Hernández y
Concepción Pérez Ramirez. Higinio fue miembro de los distinguidos Caballeros de Colón,
fue diácono de la Parroquia de San Patricio en Rochelle y ayudante incansable de la comunidad.
Higinio será recodado por su servicio altruista a la comunidad. Higinio nunca dudó
en brindar una mano amiga a los que más lo necesitaban. Higinio siempre encontró tiempo
para ayudar a familiares y amigos para llevarlos a citas del doctor, traducir aquellos que
no hablan inglés o simplemente para llevarlos de compras al supermercado. Higinio será
extrañado por familiares y amigos.

A Higinio le sobreviven su esposa Virgilia de Rochelle, sus dos hijas Susana y Elizabeth de Rochelle, sus hijastras, Andrea (Juan) Perez de Romeoville, Lazara Alcantara, Virginia Sanchez,
Irene (Antonio) Belmonte, Marisela (Ydelfonso) Garcia de Rochelle, Otilia De La Torre de Aurora, su hermano Lucio de México, D.F., su hermana Lourdes de Rochelle, sobrinos y sobrinas, nietos y bisnietos.

El velorio se llevara a cabo a las 10:30 AM el viernes, 6 de Mayo en la Iglesia Católica de San Patricio, en Rochelle. Con la visita el jueves 5-8 pm en el Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle, IL
