Obituary
Irene Bernadine Holloway, 87, passed away Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.
Bernadine was born September 4th, 1925 in Rochelle, Illinois, the daughter of John and Margaret O'Connell Mihm. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rochelle. Bernadine married Cloyed "Boke" Holloway on February 26, 1949 in Rochelle, Illinois. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Holloway's Standard Service Station. She was a lifetime member and past president of VFW Woman's Auxiliary Post 3878. Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters: Mildred Carney, Margaret O'Rorke, Helen Messenger and Ethel Burshied.
Bernadine is survived by her daughter Nancy (Kim) Sheets of Rochelle; three grandchildren: Russell Sheets of Davenport, IA, Steven (Lattha) Sheets of Livermore, CA and Amy Sheets of Osceola, WI.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rochelle. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home.
