Irene M. Landis, 83, died December 26, 2015, peacefully at Serenity Hospice and Home.
Irene was born May 11, 1932 in Hickory Ridge, AR to David and Bernice Woolbright and graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1950. On January 26, 1952 she married R. James Landis. They were blessed with 64 years of love and happy memories and a family that returned that love many times over.

Irene loved knitting, crocheting, quilting, golfing, card clubs and best of all cooking. She treasured family gatherings and so enjoyed cooking her family's favorite foods. Her cherished grandchildren were the joy of her life and she loved watching them grow up.

Irene is survived by her loving husband, R. James Landis; son James (Nancy) Landis; grandchildren Christina (Jeremiah) Buehler, Steven (Leslie) Landis, Emily (Tim) Carson, Sarah (Joseph) Boyer, and Kevin (Hilary) Landis; great-grandchildren Joshua, Marissa, Joanna and Elayna Buehler, Logan and Oscar Landis, Owen and Lillian Boyer, and Amelia Landis; and her brothers Lowell (Margaret) Woolbright and Grover (Sharon) Woolbright.
Irene is preceded in death by her dear daughter, Deborah Landis, and two half brothers, Don Lewis and Rodney Lewis.
