Iris L. O'Neil, 91, of Rochelle, passed away peacefully Sunday April 4, 2010 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family. Iris was born June 18, 1918 in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of Albert and Loretta (Rooney) Johnson. Iris married Harry W. Loefgren Jr. Dec 13, 1939 in Chicago, IL. Harry preceded Iris on Aug. 13, 1977. She married Paul O'Neil in 1979 and he preceded her in 1987. Preceded by two sons: John Paul (Infant) 1961 and Thomas John Loefgren in 1992 and Brother; Paul Johnson

Iris is survived by two sons: Michael (Melinda) Loefgren of Madison, WI, and Richard (Lynn) Loefgren of Treasure Island, FL. Two Grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer) Loefgren, Kristin (Lee) Heintz. Step-Grandson: Antonio Oppi. Six Great Grandchildren: Emily, Hannah, Abby Loefgren, Colin, Alex, and Sam Heintz. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Ogle County Hospice.


A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday April, 8 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rochelle, IL with a visitation from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Rochelle, IL.
