Obituary
Irma G. Beardin, 95, of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at Rochelle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Rochelle. She was born on Dec. 9, 1912 in Rochelle,
the daughter of Stephan and Jessie (Hunter) Bona. Irma married Robert Lee Beardin on March 3, 1939 in Rochelle and he preceded her on April 4, 1999. Also preceded by an infant daughter: Nancy Sue. She was a graduate of Northern IL State Teachers College in DeKalb. IL and was a
member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include 2 sons: Frank (Ann) Beardin and Roger (Glenda) Beardin both of Rochelle; a daughter; Mary Grantham of Rockford, IL: 7 Grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM
with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM at church prior to
the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery. Memorials to: First Presbyterian Church or to Ogle County Hospice.
