Rochelle

Ivan G. Sexton, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. Ivan was born on April 11, 1932 to Denver and Lena (Johnson) Sexton in Greeneville, TN. On November 19, 1983, he married Emma Jean (Montgomery) McCulloch in Rochelle. He worked for Spaulding Composites Inc. in DeKalb, IL for many years. In addition to his parents, Ivan is preceded in death by two siblings.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Emma of Rochelle; four children: Danny Sexton of Rochelle, Karan (Roger) Jones of DeKalb, IL, Paulette Sexton and Shawn Sexton both of Rockford, IL; three step children: Mike (Laurie) McCulloch of Rochelle, Sandra (John) Gevers of Kansas City, MO and Cheryl (Kevin) Barringer of Oregon, IL; three siblings: Tommy (Jeanne) Sexton, Alvin (Lois) Sexton and Rosie (Clem) Stills all of Greeneville, TN; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Duane Boehm officiating. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
