Jacob R. Rinehart, of Rochelle, passed away Fri. May 9, 2008 at the Rochelle Gardens Nursing Center. He was born May 3, 1921 in Flagg Center IL, the son of Jacob O. and Edith Eaton Rinehart. He married Lila P. Sweger May 3, 1952 in Rochelle, she preceded him on Feb. 13, 2008. Jacob was also preceded by a son William on Aug. 2, 1975

He worked at Del Monte Can Plant 115 in Rochelle before retiring.

Surviving: 4 sister-in-laws Arlene Herrmann of Rochelle, Ruth Dalton of Dixon, Patricia Stehl of Franklin Grove and Doris Voss of Dixon, IL and 1 brother-in-law Harry Sweger of Kentucky.

Uncle Red considered as his Grandchildren: Melinda (Quint) Burkhart and their children ;Steph, Ashley, Michael, Brayden and Haleigh of Chana, IL and Kim Sheffield and her children ; Jacob, Austin, Kaleb and Brandon. He is also survived by many neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m.Tuesday May 13, 2008 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle. Memorials to Hub City Senior Center and Rochelle Gardens Nursing Home Aids staff.
