Jacqueline D. Eckhardt, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL. Jacquie was born in Chicago, IL to John and Dorris (Bradley) Beardsley. She married Bob E. Eckhardt on June 6, 1959 in Steward, IL. Jacquie taught at the elementary level in Freeport, Steward and DeKalb for many years. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in DeKalb.

Jacquie is survived by her husband, Bob, son, Camden (Melissa) Eckhardt of Farmersville, IL, daughter, Meradith (Kyle) Peart of Littleton, CO, sister, Joanna (James) Kemper of Compton, IL and five grandchildren: Lindsey (Tim) Bejster, Jacob Eckhardt, Phoenix Eckhardt, Cooper Peart and step grandson, Derek Peart. Unger-Horner Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation rights. There will be no services for Jacquie. Please omit flowers and send memorials to Serenity Hospice and Home.
