James A. Anthenat, age 60 of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006 at KSB Hospital in Dixon, IL. He was born on Oct. 8, 1946 in Rochelle, the son of Clifford L. and Marie-Anna (Cote) Anthenat. Jim married Marilyn Male on Oct. 25, 1969 in Rochelle and she preceded him on July 19, 2003. He was also preceded by his parents Cliff and Mary and a twin brother: John.
In 1965, he graduated from Rochelle Township High School and had previously been employed
by the laborer's union in DeKalb.
Survivors include a daughter: Jill (Jerry) Scheffler of Dixon and a son: John (Amy) Anthenat
of Rochelle; 2 sisters: Mary Pat (Harry) Allen of Rochelle and Sharon (David) Pease of Turtletown, TN; grandchildren: Maddie Kay and Andrew Lee Scheffler, Calvin Anthenat and Landon James Anthenat due in March 2007.
Services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, in Rochelle, with Rev. David Peck, officiating on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec, 28th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. In lieu of flowers: Memorials can be made to KSB Hospital or the Leukemia Association.
