James W. Beard, age 75, of Rochelle, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Hampton Plaza Nursing Home in Niles, IL. He was born on Aug. 3, 1932 in Brickenridge, KY, the son of
Henry Washington and Victoria Bell (Seiman) Beard. He married Alpha Witt on Aug. 10, 1957
in Jeffersonville, IN, and she preceded him on March 23, 2004. He was also preceded by his parents. Prior to retirement, Jim was employed by Eaton Controls and was a member of the Four Square Church in Rochelle.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Regina (Richard Jr.) Fenton and Linda (Mark ) Wagner both of Rochelle; 4 grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer) Mosher, Jacob Mosher, Joshua (Amber) Mosher and Brandon Wagner; a brother: David Edward (Emma Bell) Beard of Shepardsville, KY; and a
sister: Annabell (Homer) Williams of Ervington, KY.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home with Revs. Anne and Ken Erickson officiating on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service at 10:00 on Saturday. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Four Square Church.
