James Gregory Knight Sr., of Chana, IL, passed away Thur. Oct. 18, 2012 in Ogden Utah. Jim was born in Bloomington, IL Dec. 4, 1940 the son of James and Ada (Sturgeon) Knight. He married Nancy Martin, Oct. 24, 1960 in Pekin, IL. Jim was a truck driver for Stahly Cartage retiring after 41 years. Due to his love of driving he went to work part time for Lathrop Trucking hauling livestock. Jim was also an avid fisherman and outdoorsmen.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Feb. 15, 1998 and one sister: Linda Sue Kinsinger.

Jim is survived by 3 sons: James (Cindy) Knight of Ashton, IL, Jay (Michelle) Knight of Davis Junction and Jason (Kim) Knight of Rochelle; 1 daughter: Janelle (Dennis) Kann of Chana, IL; 1 brother: John (Janet) Knight of Green Valley, IL; 9 grand children: Megan, Walker, MaKenna, Kaleb, Morgan, Noah and Ashley Knight, Juliana and Jackson Kann; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Thur. Oct. 25, 2012 at the 1st General Baptist Church in Rochelle. Visitation will be Wed. Oct. 24 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Memorial to be established.
