Chana

James Otto Kloepping, age 72, of Chana, Illinois, passed on to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born July 29, 1950, in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Samuel and Luella (Dreibelbis) Kloepping. He graduated from Pearl City High School and Illinois State University. He married Patricia Wieck on July 27, 1973.

Jim and Pat have three sons: Chris (Keri) of Gilbert, Arizona, Tim (Andrea) of Murphy, Texas, and Jason of Chana. They have four grandchildren: Emma, Elijah, Payton and Aubrey.

Jim was a carpenter. He was very active in the Ashton Lions Club and served as District
Governor from 2014-2015. He was a member of Chana United Methodist Church.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Luella. He is survived by three sisters:
Elizabeth, Patricia and Annette, and brother, William, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 4:00 - 6:00 P.M., Monday, June 12, 2023 at the Unger–Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Chana United Methodist Church, 606 N. Main St., on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:30 A.M.  Memorials may be made in Jim's memory to the Chana United Methodist Church or the Ashton Lions Club.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
