JAMES W. MONTGOMERY, age 81, died on Monday, December 4, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Redwood Falls, MN on April 23, 1925, the son of
Vern and Fleeta (Shields) Montgomery. He married Gloria Jane Schliemann on May 16, 1947
in Morton, MN. After 38 years, Jim retired from DeKalb Ag where he was District Sales Manager.

He was raised on a farm in rural Minnesota and graduated from Waubasso High School and was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific in the US Navy as an Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class. Memberships include Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle, Moose Club, VFW Post 3878 and the DeKalb Elks Club. Three brothers: Ralph, Robert and Norval Montgomery preceded him in death.

Jim was the dearly loved husband of Gloria of Rochelle; the darling father of son: Dixon (Mary) Montgomery of Rochelle; and daughter: Robin Wilson of Rockford; the best grandpa of Susan Ferrara, Kyanne and Amber Wilson; and great grandpa to Calub Manted; and many neices and nephews in Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at
11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Dow officiating. Military Services will be by VFW Post 3878. Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle on Thursday, Dec. 7th from 4 to 6 PM. In Lieu of Flowers a memorial has been established.
