James Henry Ramsey, age 48, of Green Bay, WI, formerly of Rochelle, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1961 in Rochelle, IL, the son of John E. and Deborah E. Kinchen Ramsey. He graduated from Rochelle Township High School Class of 1979, attended Western Illinois University, and Madison Tech. Jim then served in the United States Coast Guard. Jim worked in the electronic, retail, and maintenance fields over the years. He was preceded by grandmothers: Rose Kinchen and Edna Ramsey; and grandfather: John L. Ramsey.

Jim was a loving son, brother, and father to his children. He was a friend who was always willing to help out. He could work on anything electronic and could fix most any car and do any kind of house repair and maintenance. Jim enjoyed sailing, traveling and learning.

He is survived by his Parents: Ed and Deborah Ramsey of Rochelle
3 children: Derek, Melanie and Lorraine Ramsey all of Bear, Delaware
brother: Mark (Irene) Ramsey of Miami, FL; sister: Susan Ramsey of DeKalb, several aunts and uncles and many cousins .

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 2nd at Unger-Horner from 5 to 8 PM. A memorial has been established to the family. Burial at Trinity Memorial Gardens with a military service provided by V.F.W.
