James C. Robertson, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Davis Junction, IL. J.C. was born February 1, 1934 to John C. and Elzie (Woolbright) Robertson in Cherry Valley, Arkansas. He honorably served our country with the U.S. Navy on the USS Iowa. J.C. married Glenna Krigbaum on April 17, 1954 in Hernando, Mississippi. He retired from Del Monte as plant engineer after 32 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale Robertson, and two sisters: Eva Spencer and Patsy Neal.

J.C. is survived by his wife, Glenna, daughter, Belinda (Kevin) Thomas of Davis Junction, son, Cliff (Suzy) Robertson of Rochelle, four grandchildren: Stephani (Scott) Cater, Kevin Thomas Jr., Eric Robertson and Adam Robertson; three great-grandchildren: Kayli, Jake and Drew Cater.

The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The visitation will be from 1:30 - 3:00 P.M. just prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at the Ashton Cemetery in Ashton with military services provided by the Eastern-Lee Ogle Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
