James "Jim" Sheehy, 42, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born February 14, 1980, in Des Plaines, IL, the son of Raymond and Edna (Burnheimer) Sheehy.

Jim worked for the Rochelle News-Leader for over 15 years. He loved to fish and play video games. Jim loved his family, especially his two children. He had an affinity for cats. It was one of his last requests, to be at home during his final days with his two cats.

Jim is survived by his significant other and mother of his children, Annette Chu, of Rochelle; two children, Victoria and Eamon Sheehy of Rochelle; sister, Carol (Charlie) Benge of Rochelle; nephews and niece, Brandon, Ashley, and Dylan Benge; special friends, John and Cheryl; and his two cats, Max and Bandit.

Jim is preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Edna Sheehy; and a brother, Dan Sheehy.
