James Watson Sr., age 85 of Rochelle, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Franklin Grove Nursing home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1922 in Parkin, AR, the son of Lee Arnie and Ora Beth Watson.
Jim married Gloria Jean Wiggs on May 18, 1963 in Rockford and she preceded him on
Dec. 16, 2005. He was also preceded by 3 brothers: Fred, Frank and Lee Watson and
2 sisters: Pearlie and Molly.

Survivors include 2 sons: Larry (Sharon) Watson of Rochelle and James (Cathy) Watson of
Dixon, IL; 2 daughters: Patricia (Gary) Coons of Rochelle and Julia (Steve) Lichtenberger
of LaMesa, CA; 2 stepdaughters: Chris (Stan) Smallwood of Machesney Park, IL and Mary Wallace of Machesney Park, IL; a brother: Albert (Mary) Watson of Parkin, AR; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home at 7:00 PM on Wed. March 19, 2008 with Rev. Brett Todd officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service
on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 PM. Online guest book at www.ungerhorner.com. Cremation rites were arranged by Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at Monroe Center Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Unity Hospice.
