Janice Searcy, 56, of Franklin Grove, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford surrounded by her loving family. Janice was born December 28, 1966 in Rochelle. She married Lance Searcy on September 24, 2011.

Janice was born and raised in Rochelle. She loved life and especially loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her husband, Lance; a son, Tyler Perales; her mother, Marilyn Medina; six siblings, Melissa (Sharon) Cremeans-Bourdon, Paul "JR" (Colleen) Zuniga, Martin Zuniga, John (Ashley) Rodriguez, Michael Medina, and Olga (Joshua) Nambo; several aunts and uncles; several cousins who were more like siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Mike Donoho officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Cremation care will follow the services.
