Jaroldean "Jerry" L. Stanfa, 86, of Rochelle, passed away Sat. Jan. 11, 2014 at the Bethany Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in DeKalb, IL. Jerry was born in Rockford, IL May 10, 1927 the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Peterson) Flood. She married Peter S. Stanfa on April 25, 1946 in Rockford, IL. Together they owned and operated, Oaks Restaurant from 1958-1962, Tahiti Lounge from 1962 - 1973 and then The Garage from 1973 - 1976. Jerry is predeceased in death by her husband, Peter July 14, 2005, son Steven M. Stanfa Nov. 12, 2007 and sister Marilyn Stump.

She is survived by one daughter: Gaye (Jim) McBride of Ashton, IL; one daughter-in-law: Rita Stanfa of Rochelle; one sister: Carole Moore of Rockford; grandchildren: Kristin Stanfa, Shelby (Ray) Beardin, Scott (Lori) McBride, Michael (Betsy) McBride and Jill (Jesse) Lartz; great-grandchildren: Connor, Owen, Cody, Karlee, Ali, Cole, Delanee and Alex.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Wed. Jan. 15, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St, Rochelle, IL. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials to be established. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial park in Rockford, IL. Jerry wishes to thank you for "the coffee, the cookies and the good time."
