Jeanette S. Ludens 68 of Rochelle, IL died early Sun. Dec. 10, 2006 at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Sioux Falls, S.D. the daughter of Harm G. And Sophie (Straatmeyer) Geiken. She married Lowell D. Ludens Sept. 11, 1977 in Rochelle, IL.
Jeanette was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle and was employed at Rochelle Community Hospital in the housekeeping dept. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Jeffrey L. Pyne and Ronald Ludens and a brother: Gerhard Geiken.
Survivors include her husband Lowell of Rochelle; 2 sons: Kevin (Gail) Pyne of Sycamore, IL and Randy Ludens of Rockford, IL; 2 daughters: Lynnette (Brian) Egland of Rochelle and Robin Ludens of Rockford, IL; 1 brother Harvey Geiken of Adell, WI; 3 sisters Jennieve (Albert) Schmidt of Sioux Falls, S.D., Albertha (George) Albers of Tea, S.D. and Joyce (Justin) Uhe of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 8 grandchildren: Nichole (Ivan) Meraz, Ashli Burgess, Kendra Egland, Brad Egland, Carly Hilderbrand, Jennifer Ludens, Josh (Ronny) Kayser and Dalton Pyne; 4 great grandchildren: JaeLeigh and Zavier Meraz, and Christian and Tyler Kayser.
Funeral Services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church in Rochelle on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14th from 5 to 7 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: Memorials can be made to the First United Presbyterian Church or to Rochelle Community Hospital.
