Jeffrey Mark Holznagel, 61, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, Illinois surrounded by his wife and family.  Jeff was born on December 25, 1963 to Ronald and Judith (Rother) Holznagel in Elmhurst, IL.  On July 20, 2005, he married Paula Rae Herzmann in Oregon, IL.

In his earlier years, Jeff enjoyed playing softball.  He also enjoyed camping, fishing and playing the occasional round of golf.  He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan.  The most important things that meant the world to Jeff were his wife of 20 years, his two daughters, his four granddaughters and the rest of his family.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Paula of Rochelle; his father, Ron Holznagel of Schaumburg, IL; two daughters: Beth (Danny) Gardiner of Acworth, GA, Darci (John) Kellum of Rochelle; sister, Julene Zander of Denver, CO; two brothers: Jim (Sue) Holznagel of Hoffman Estates, IL and Jon (Lisa) Holznagel of MI; four granddaughters: Bailey, Adley, Audrey and Nola; two nieces: Nicki Zander and Rachel Holznagel and nephew, Matthew Holznagel.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy; mother-in-law, Penney Herzmann, father-in-law, Heinz "Paul" Herzmann and brother-in-law, Sonny Zander.

The memorial visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  The memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
