Gerald "Jerry" Bunger, age 69, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at his home with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law at his side. He was born on October 23, 1945 in Rochelle, the son of Edwin and Vivian Ulferts Bunger. Jerry married Dorothy L. "Dottie" Perdue on June 14, 1969 in Chelyan, WV. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy, and then for the last 30 years managed the Shangri La Mobile Home Park. Jerry enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball for 10 years, spending time with his family and was an avid bird watcher. Member of the Rochelle Masonic Lodge 244, and the Tebala Shrine. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survived by his wife, Dottie Bunger of Rochelle, daughter, Angela "Angie" (Ken) Balcombe of Rochelle, and 2 grandsons: Dalton and Tyler Cagle.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle with Rev. Joy Alsop officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM on Wednesday at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle. Burial at the Lawnridge Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Eastern-Lee Ogle Honor Guard. Memorial to KishHealth System Hospice.
