Jerry Meacham, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Swedish American Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born on December 17, 1932 in Weakley, TN. Jerry Married Lula "Evelyn" Hill in 1955 in Rome GA. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, then worked and retired from the City of Rochelle. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 siblings, and 3 grandchildren: Mackenzie Downing, Tessa Sidebottom, and Charlotte Mae Gocken.

Survived by his wife, Lula "Evelyn" Meacham, 3 daughters: Melissa Prewett, Melinda (Brad) Gocken, and Sheila Meacham; 7 grandchildren: Emily (Brian Bailey) Packard, Zach (Kara) Prewett, Grace (Anthony Denny) Prewett, Daniel Gocken, Bailey Gocken, Mathew (Kellie) Downing, and Jennifer Sidebottom; and 14 great grandchildren: Noah, Mary-Therese, Jack, Felicity, Zelie, Flannery, Truman, Delia, Loren, Nicholas, Mackayla, Evelyn, Ivan and Royce.

The family would like to thank the staff at Swedish American Hospital for their special care and kindness.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Harvest Baptist Church, 241 Scott Ave., Hillcrest with Pastor Duane Boehm officiating.
