Rochelle

Jose Angel Gallegos, 80, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 20, 2025 at his home outside of Rochelle, Illinois.  Jose was born on October 1, 1944 in La Quemada, San Felipe, Guanjuato, Mexico to Jesus and Estanislada (Velazquez) Gallegos.  Jose worked for Del Monte Foods in Rochelle for many years.

Jose is survived by two children: Angel Gallegos of Pflugerville, TX, Laura Gallegos of Austin, TX; brother, J. Ascencion Gallegos of Mexico; sister, Eufrosina Velazquez, and good friend, Brenda Ledesma of Rochelle, IL.

In addition to his parents, Jose is preceded in death by three sisters: Aurora Gallegos Velazquez, Ofelia Gallegos Velazquez, Anna Maria Gallegos Velazquez and one brother, Hilario Gallegos Velazquez.

Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. There will be no services.
