"Mule"
Jimmy C. Underwood, 65, of Rochelle, went home to be with the Lord and his loved ones who preceded him, on Friday, June 24, 2011. He passed peacefully at his home, with his wife by his side, following complications from a blood clot. He was born on March 30, 1946 in Widener, AR, to Ray and Theo (Hillaird) Underwood. On Feb. 23, 1973, he married Judith Lynn Furman in Sycamore, IL and she preceded him on Sept. 7, 1994. Mule married Dianna L. Gibson on Sept. 20, 1998 in Berea, KY. He was employed by Morgan Dye and Caron International for 23 years. Mule loved being outdoors in the sunshine working in his yard. He loved his friends and family very much and tried to help anyone he could. Mule had a large extended family and even a larger group of friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded by his parents: 2 brothers: Ray (Billie Jo) Underwood Jr. and Leon Underwood; 2 sisters: Vera Mae (Buck) Christian and Lois (Bob) Mullvian; 2 brothers-in-law: Horce Duncan Sr.and Danny Tate.

Survivors include his wife Dianna of Rochelle; sons: Jamie Lee (Erica) Underwood of Rockford, IL; Donnie (Danielle) Gibson of Oregon, IL, Bristol Gibson of Oregon, IL, daughter: Bonnie (Randy) Gallimore of Madisonville, KY; brother: Gerene (Iva) Underwood of Bethel Springs, TN, sisters: Alice Duncan of Fulton MS, Hazel (Gordon) Leffelman of Kingston, IL, Patsy Tate of Hughes, AR, and Betty Sue Rose of Marion AR; mother-in-law: Roberta Stinnett of Rochelle; sisters-in-law: Levina Stinnett and Tina Stinnett both of Rochelle and Linda Kristoff of VA; brothers-in-law: Dale (Kim) Stinnett and Terry (Sue) Stinnett both of Ashton, IL, Tim Stinnett of Rochelle, Doug (Marilyn) Stinnett of Rockford and Wayne Stinnett of Litt Carr, KY; and a very special friend: Ricky Smith.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Larry Davenport officiating. Visitation at Unger-Horner from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, July 1st.
